Impress Your Wife with a Foot Massage

Whether she wears heels or work boots, chances are your woman’s feet are barking dogs by the end of the day. It would be a nice treat for her to come home to you waiting with a towel over your arm, directing her to a foot bath. Along with this, you can even bring her the best mindinsole foot inserts which will provide relief to her tired and aching feet. 

Just before she arrives home, turn on some classical music, turn the lights down and prepare a warm pan of water, think baby bottle temperature. If you are preparing the pan more than five minutes ahead of time, make it warmer and it will cool. Just always remember to check it with your wrist before placing her feet in the water. Add a drop of liquid soap and a few drops of lavender essential oils to cleanse and awaken her senses. To make a detox bath add 1/8th cup of Epsom salts and ½ cup of baking soda. Place the pan in front of comfortable chair on top of a towel, in case of spills. Place a glass of her favorite wine or beer waiting next to the chair. You will also need to have a bottle of massage or baby oil and a pair of slippers or socks near the pan of water.

When she arrives home, take her by the hand and lead her to the chair. Kneel down and slip off her shoes. Hand her the glass and tell her to relax and enjoy. When speaking to her throughout, use a soft whisper.

Place both feet in the pan of water and gently run your hands over and around her feet using very light pressure. Think of a feather. This portion of the massage is to cleanse her feet and help her unwind. Work on each foot for 2 to 3 minutes. When you complete each foot, gently pick it up and lovingly dry it off with your towel.

When both feet are clean, set the pan of water aside. Put a small amount of the massage or baby oil in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together to spread the oil. Pick one foot up and, starting with light pressure, massage the tops and bottoms of her feet. You want to gradually increase the pressure. Tell her to let you know if it is too much pressure. Using both hands on one foot at a time, slide your hands along the foot from ankle to toes. Close your fingers around the foot as it narrows. Now you want to head back towards the ankle. When you reach the arch, stop and gently squeeze. Take your thumb and make a circular motion in the arch of her foot. Ask her if she would like more or less pressure. Continue this onto the heel. The heel gets quite sore from being on her feet all day. Spend a minute or so on each of these areas. Once you have reached the ankle, you gently use your thumb in the indent under the ankle bone as you did the arch. Spend a solid minute on the ankles.

Return now to the gliding motion over her feet. You want to stop at the ball of the foot this time and use all fingers to massage, with the thumb on top of the foot for support. Vary the pressure you apply from each finger. Picture yourself wiggling your fingers like playing a flute with a fast beat. Continue this motion for 2 to 3 minutes.

When you have completed one foot, repeat with the second. Always end with a mild brushing over the whole foot to signal you are done. When both feet are done, you can use 100% aloe to maintain moisture before placing her feet in her slippers.
